After growing up in a musical family and having seen the skewed growth up close, he went to study at the SAE (School of Audio Engineering) and started to combine his knowledge of intellectual property with the education in music law, a golden combination.

20+ years active as an IT entrepreneur, Linux expert, programmer and project manager. With his passion for music he moved more towards the music industry. Became a music manager, executive producer and built his own recording studio. With the rise of the blockchain, Joost combined all his acquired knowledge to arrive at the SmartLabel concept. He may therefore be called the true architect of SmartLabel.
